Using the WordPress MailPoet Plugin on Orlando Web Wizard server you need to be aware of the “CAN-SPAM Act

A Compliance Guide for Business

Please go to this website and familiarize yourself with the CAN-SPAM Act rules:
http://business.ftc.gov/documents/bus61-can-spam-act-compliance-guide-business

As your hosting service provider when our team installs and configures the MailPoet plugin on your website account we added these rules :
“To,” “Reply-To,” and routing information, valid physical postal address, clear, conspicuous explanation of how the recipient can opt out, in the footer.

However, as a business owner you need to understand the CAN-SPAM ACT rules and follow them:

Don’t use deceptive subject lines. The subject line must accurately reflect the content of the message.

Identify the message as an ad. The law gives you a lot of leeway in how to do this, but you must disclose clearly and conspicuously that your message is an advertisement.

Honor opt-out requests promptly. In PHPlist, users can opt out on their own however, if they choose to email you, it is your responsibility to remove them and do not add them back later without their permission.

If you want me to remove users I need a signed maintenance agreement with a monthly or yearly fee arrangement. Please see non-subscription services on this page: Orlando Web Wizard Non-subscription Services

Monitor what others are doing on your behalf. Your employees and if you hire another company to handle your email marketing.

Orlando Web Wizard’s policy is no sexually explicit email messages
. We will shut the list down if we find any sexually explicit email going out from the Orlando Web Wizard”s mail server.
